When writing business emails, letters, memos, and other communications, it’s important to check for any grammar or spelling errors that can distract from your message. Misspelled words and grammatical errors are easy to fix if you make a habit of using the spellcheck and grammar features on your computer. In this course, we will review basic punctuation rules. We will examine some common sentence structure mistakes. And we’ll study some common word choice errors. Finally, we’ll provide a list of online resources and books. Standard NS-EN 1591-4 sets requirements for maintenance of competence. If there has been a stay with work on flanged connections for six months or more, a new refresher course must be completed in order to continue to have valid approval. We offer a separate course for those who do not get enough practice (within 6 months) to maintain the approval. The aim is to provide the participant with sufficient theory and practice to continue to be able to perform flange work in accordance with current requirements. One of the key responsibilities of a leader is to assess team members on a regular basis. These might include post-project reviews, annual or quarterly performance evaluations, and in-the-moment feedback.  

Organizations use different parameters and tools to assess their employees. The assessments used are based on functional goals, developmental goals, innovation goals, stretch goals, or any other goals customized to the organizational needs. Irrespective of the tools you use, when it is time to assess your employees, do you rely on the data or by your perception of the person?  

As fair and factual as you believe your assessments are, you might actually be guilty of some “rater biases” that can skew your evaluations.

But the good leaders implement The COACH Model in coordination with a coaching philosophy that includes mentoring, constant two-way communication, and continuous feedback. The COACH Model is a five-step program that walks a leader through the process of coaching an associate from setting a goal to measuring their success at the end of the process.

Having great presentation skills and making a strong first impression based on your clothing and demeanor is not executive presence. You need more substantive abilities to face daily business challenges, speak your mind while maintaining your composure, or inspire your team to commit to a demanding new goal. Executive presence is a purposefully developed hybrid of internal character and external presentation. Let’s look at the qualities that distinguish great leaders from mediocre ones.

McKinsey’s 7-S model was created by McKinsey consultants Robert Waterman, Tom Peters, Richard Pascale, and Anthony Athos. It provides a framework to plan and execute mid-term organizational change. It is based on the premise that organizations perform properly when seven key elements are aligned. 

The seven key elements are structure, strategy, systems, skills, style, staff, and shared values. The model is most often used as an organizational analysis tool to assess and monitor changes in the internal situation of an organization.

Hensikten med opplæringen er å gi truckførere allsidig praktisk opplæring og øvelse i sikker bruk av truck, slik at ulykker i forbindelse med bruken unngås. Opplæringen skal gi fører så gode kjøreferdigheter at vedkommende selvstendig på en sikker måte skal kunne gjennomføre oppdrag med truck.

Truckfører må imidlertid gjennomføre typeopplæring på den trucken som til enhver tid benyttes i tillegg til sertifisert sikkerhetsopplæring. Opplæringen avsluttes med en praktisk prøve som innbefatter kontroll og bruk av aktuelle trucker.

Bestått praktisk prøve på aktuelle trucker vil være grunnlag for utstedelse av kompetansebevis for fører av truck

This course is intended for Dynamic Positioning Operators (DPO) with a certificate from the Nautical Institute that are unable to revalidate their DPO certificate due to insufficient DP sea time.

By the end of the course the participants shall:

- Have acquired knowledge of the latest rules and regulations
- Have acquired knowledge of the latest developments within sensors and Position Reference Systems (PRS)
- Have acquired knowledge of the latest relevant DP incidents and why they occurred
- Be able to recognize the various alarm, warning and information messages
- Carry out operational planning, risk assessment and hazard identification tasks
- Set up the DP system for a particular task/operation
- Decide on courses of action because of system failure


The course is conducted as classroom training, combining theoretical presentation  and practical work/discussion with exercises in simulator and guidance. For practical capabilities and skills, exercises are performed in fully equipped DP simulator. This course will fulfil the revalidation learning objectives as specified by Nautical institute.

Grunnleggende sikkerhetsopplæring for bruk av VHF/SRC utstyr. Kurset passer for fritidsbåtbrukere, samt ansatte offshore og på land som har behov for å bruke VHF-radio i tjenesten. Det er et internasjonalt krav at maritimt VHF radioutstyr skal betjenes av personer som innehar VHF-sertifikat.

Kurs for personell som skal tjenestegjøre som SSO om bord på skip eller flyttbare innrettninger. Etter 1/7-09 må personell inneha "Certificate of proficiency". Dette er et sertifikat som utstedes etter gjennomført og bestått kurs. ISPS er IMOs internasjonale kode for sikkerhet og terrorberedskap på skip og i havneterminaler. 

Kurset er en påbygging på ordinært truckførerbevis for trucker t.o.m. 10 tonn, og vil gi deltagerne den kompetanseheving som skal til for å kunne betjene stortruck sikkert, slik at uhell og ulykker unngås.
