This training course provides an overview of the Magnetic Particles Testing (MT) method for non-destructive examination of materials and welding, its objectives and principles.

Objective: The purpose of the training is to provide the prospective winch operator with a good theoretical basic training in the safe use of winches with associated equipment.

Hensikt: Grunnleggende overlevelsestrening for offshore vindindustri. 

Ved gjennomføring av Global Wind Organization (GWO) Basic Safety Training (BST) vil delegatene ha en bevissthet om farene som oppstår når de arbeider i vind-industrien og hvordan man kontrollerer og reduserer disse farene.

Kursdeltakerne vil få (repetert) kunnskap og ferdigheter til å anerkjenne fordeler og begrensninger knyttet til livreddende utstyr og PVU samt korrekt bruk av dette i forbindelse med offshore vind. 

Hensikten med kurset er å gi deltakerne kunnskaper/oppfriskning om livreddende utstyr, GMDSS og SAR utstyr, hvordan en kollektivt kan øke sjansen til overlevelse i en nødsituasjon, hvordan entre og forlate vindturbiner, samt evakuering i nødsituasjoner. 

Kurset dekker krav til opplæring av personell og repetisjonskurs både land- og havvind iht:

- Global Wind Organization (GWO)

- Arbeidstilsynet (Forskrifter)


Kompetanse for «Sea Survival» skal vedlikeholdes iht. retningslinje i GWO standarden. Det skal gjennomføres repetisjonskurs hvert 2. år.

The Norwegian authorities require that employees who use lifts (personnel lifts) must be able to document practical and theoretical training in their use. The employer is responsible for ensuring that employees receive the necessary training. (“Regulations regarding the execution of work” no. 1357, section 10-2 Requirements regarding documented safety training in the use of work equipment.) The course provides a basic theoretical and practical introduction to the safe use of lifts (personnel lifts). A certificate of competence is issued to participants in order to fulfil the legislation’s documentation requirements.
Objective: To provide course participants with increased knowledge and awareness of safety measures in order to avoid injuries and accidents at the workplace.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

The period of supervised DP sea time days after the Simulator Course may be reduced by a maximum of 30 days by the satisfactory completion of an intensive DP Simulator Course.

CONTENT

• Study of DP incidents
• Construction and use of worksite diagrams, Electronic Charts and Vessel templates for use in DP operations
• Preparation of plans for a projected DP operation,contingency plans for expected deviations and emergencies
• Participation in simulated situations in a variety of DP operations while handling routine and emergency situations
• Risk and safety analysis, and defining DP equipmentclasses
• The DP system’s utilization of position

LEARNING PROCESS

The participants will work with practical scenarios based on real operations, training on planning and executing specified operations under varying simulated conditions.

During the operations, typical DP failure modes will be included. Communication with field control, other vessels and the different departments onboard will be included. A rotation plan will be made for participants to act in different roles during the course.

The scenarios will be run on a K-POS DP system Class2, in a full mission simulator environment connected to an advanced simulator control (NI Class A).

SPECIAL INFORMATION

The Sea Time Reduction Course reduces phase D of the Nautical Institute (NI) DP Operator Certification Scheme (watchkeeping experience). The course will be logged into the Nautical Institute DP Operator’s log book and reduce the Watchkeeping Experience requirements by 30 days

The old saying, greater the risk, greater the rewards has probably rung true for many of us in different stages and areas of life. However, still most people tend to avoid risks when possible, because they think that inaction is often safer than action. The belief is that taking a risk is “exposing oneself to the possibility of loss or injury in the hopes of achieving a gain or reward.” But the legendary boxer Muhammed Ali stated “He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.” In this course, you will learn to mitigate risks and start taking calculated risks.

Objective: The purpose of the training is to provide users of work equipment mentioned in § 10-1 and 10-3 in «Regulations on the performance of work» (no. 1357), a good general basic training in the safe use of work equipment, so that accidents and accidents in connection with use is avoided.

The authorities set requirements for basic safety certification of persons who are to drive forklifts, mass transfer machines and cranes. The requirements include both theoretical and practical training. To complete the common theory, one must take and pass a theoretical exam.

Module 1.1 Working environment, responsibilities and consequences are common to machine, forklift and crane. If you can document that you have module 1.1 from before that is not older than 3 years, you can start right on module 2.3.

The balance sheet is one of several financial reports that organizations use for monitoring and planning purposes. It is a snapshot of a company’s financials on a specific date. All balance sheets include three components: assets, liabilities, and owner’s (or shareholder’s) equity. The report shows the resources an organization owns (assets), how much money it owes (liabilities), and how much equity the owners (or shareholders) have after liabilities are subtracted from the assets. This is also called the net worth of the company. Some of the benefits of being able to read and understand a balance sheet include making better management decisions, identifying potential financial issues before they cause bigger problems, and improving your company’s organizational efficiency.

Leaders face conflict situations regularly as they manage team members, departmental issues, and organizational challenges. While there are core principles for solving these problems, they can’t all be solved using one strategy. Personality conflict between co-workers requires one approach, while an interdepartmental conflict requires another. In this lesson, we’ll look at several incidents and discuss how to resolve them. We’ll also suggest other strategies you can employ to address and minimize conflict in your workplace.

Objective: The aim of the training is that theoretical and practical knowledge about fall protection and the correct use of rescue equipment, rescue of free-hanging persons, rescue of personnel over open sea, tank, stretcher transport, descent and treatment of personnel after fall accident is refreshed and repeated.

The training is adapted for personnel who are part of fall protection / rescue teams on board an installation. Participants must gain expertise in risk assessment, rescue (equipment and methods) and first aid.

Covers repetition requirements every 2nd year in accordance with NOG 113 and SFS.
