Is there an assessment?

Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 80%.

This course focuses on the basic elements of MOB boat training and may be completed regardless of the type of boats participants use.

The main objective of the course in pressure testing is to provide each course participant the basic knowledge of the preparation, planning, execution and documentation of pressure testing as a discipline.

Focus on safety and proper selection of equipment is essential to prevent accidents and loss of assets.

Training will be made according to specific standards. The course will include a theoretical part, practical part and examinations.

Course Content

Theoretical part

The main tasks during the course will be:

- Different methods for pressure testing

- Performance of pressure testing

- Work Packages and drawings

- HSE

- Equipment for pressure testing

- Pressure and temperature theory

- Introduction in fittings and thread types

- Flanges, Gaskets and Bolts

- Valves

- Standards, calibration and documentation

Practice

The simulated practice test will be performed on a training jig under supervision of an instructor. There will be reviewed work packages for performing virtually work packages which will be out in the field.

The goal of this course is that all personnel who use hazardous work equipment, will gain good knowledge of HSE when using work equipment. The course deals with personnel requirements, roles and responsibilities, as well as accidents and regulations on safety.

In addition, the course requires that practical training is conducted on applicable work equipment.

The course covers the following topics:

• Work equipment in general
• Use of work equipment
• Selection of work equipment
• Training in the use of work equipment
• Workspaces and personnel requirements
• Risk assessment
• Safety, accidents and liability
• Direct and underlying causes of accidents
• Relevant laws and regulations

The course includes exercises, and final test with 30 questions.

The course covers the theoretical part of training the hooker and signals. The course will provide you with basic theoretical knowledge about the correct selection, control, use and maintenance of various types of lifting equipment. (Regulations on the performance of work § 10-1 and § 10-2).

• Hooking and center of gravity

This course is taken externally on the Astutis platform, the delegate will receive a separate email from the provider with access details once this is processed by Astutis.

The enrolment will then be marked complete in Trainingportal once the course is passed.

Meetings are necessary, but they become intolerable when they drag on and on, start late, or the discussion goes off the track. It’s annoying when you feel that your time has been hijacked—especially when other projects and responsibilities are in the pipeline. Poor time management is often the cause of this distress. Meetings would be more productive—and less irritating—if all activities started on time, ended on time, and stayed on the topic. As a leader, it is your responsibility to ensure that meetings are of benefit to the participants and satisfy the meeting objectives. Running a successful meeting can be boiled down to three things: be purposeful, be engaged, and be respectful of the attendees’ time.

This course covers the necessary competence for being in command of a lifeboat in the event of a shipwreck or accident requiring evacuation, in other words, the entire rescue phase which consists of boarding and launching the lifeboat, moving to a safe distance from the installation and staying on the lifeboat at sea.

Course Content

- Prepare a conventional lifeboat for evacuation

- Organise and supervise embarkation

- Launch the lifeboat

- Attend to the passengers and facilitate the stay onboard after an evacuation.

- Establish and maintain communication with the rescue unit.

This course is valid for 24 months.
